Van der Leun will use expert knowledge of electrical engineering for a Damen 69m diving bell vessel

A 69 meters long diving bell vessel will be built at Damen Hardinxveld. The vessel with a diesel-electric drive that meets the EU Stage V requirements, will be used for the recovery of lost cargo and wrecks, the inspection of structures, anchoring of buoys as well as drillings for sampling on the bottom of rocky rivers.

Van der Leun signed a contract with Damen Shipyards for the electrical engineering of the vessel including: system integration, propulsion, automation, power management, on-site management, installation works and commissioning.

The delivery of the vessel is scheduled for the third quarter of 2020.
