After our 100th-year anniversary, on April 19, 2021, the King of The Netherlands has awarded Van der Leun with the Royal Predicate. A tremendous honour, which symbolizes the respect and trust the King has in Van der Leun. We are happy and proud to announce that we will be known as Royal Van der Leun!

The Royal Predicate official ceremony was held on June 24th, 2021 in front of our head office in Sliedrecht. At the ceremony, speeches were given by the King's Commissioner Mr. Jaap Smit, Mayor Mr. Jan de Vries and CEO Martin den Breejen.

“Not only the electrical installation of a dredger in China but also the electrical installation of the bicycle shed in Sliedrecht is being installed by Royal Van der Leun” is a nice and eloquent quote that has come up. The new logo which includes the addition of a symbolic crown was unveiled by Martin's wife, Annemarieke den Breejen.

Due to COVID-19, it was a challenge to find the best way to organize the ceremony. However, with a terrace set up on the parking lot, a small group of guests and using a live stream, everyone was able to attend this special ceremony.

Royal van der Leun will proudly wear the Royal crown and strive to be an international example of high excellence by adhering to the essential key values of sustainability, constant development and corporate social responsibility.
