Van der Leun China has completed the electrical system commissioning job for the Hai Gong 101, a 7000m³ trailing suction hopper dredger. It is owned by Dachandao Group and back from a successful sea trial and dredging test which started from April 8th and lasted until April 15th, 2021. 
We delivered the main switchboard and power management system (PMS) to the Hai Gong 101 some years ago. However, because of the crisis of the shipyard, many vessels were delayed, including the Hai Gong 101. We were required to commission the main switchboard and power management system, and make sure everything on it meets the latest rules and regulations of CCS after it experienced 4-years of delay. 
We set up Simulation methodology via Python - OPC DA which helped save around 7 days of test time and decrease the cost for ship owner to successfully deliver the project. 
We are happy to see that it will be used for dredging in the Yangtze River Port very soon.
