The Damen Crane Barge of 7532, which was built at Damen Yichang Shipyards is currently in Zhangzhou where it is being outfitted with the 625 tons crane from Huisman China. The powerful crane with a reach of 25 meters is already successfully installed and is now undergoing a series of tests to ensure its quality and safety. 

Van der Leun China provides the complete electrical engineering package for the crane barge, including production, commissioning, project management, electrical engineering and system integration, Alarm Monitoring & Controlling System (AMCS), Power Management System (PMS), Fire Alarm System (FAS), Com. & Navigation System, transformers and all switchboards & cabinets etc.

The AMCS integrates the systems by Van der Leun including PMS, FAS, electrical distribution and Navigation Lighting etc. It also can real-time display data on its screen from other systems by other companies as engines, Spud poles and Anti-heeling system etc. for ship operators to take remote controls or relevant operations. Our engineer team gifts the PMS with a functionality of Take-in which enables the barge to interchange between ship supply and shore supply seamlessly, and avoids blackout to all equipment on board.

After outfitting and testing of the crane, the barge will be delivered to Shanghai by a tug. Our commissioning engineer Eric and his team will be there to complete the final stage before delivery to the owner. Let’s look forward to seeing it start its journey!
